What would a Super Bowl gathering be with out wings!?! I mean I have even been to Super Bowl get togethers where there nothing but wings and drinks. They are as essential as Rotel is to any Pates Family gathering.
Did you know that the Chicken Wing or Buffalo Chicken Wing was made because of a mistake. Just around 50 years ago it was one of the least desirable cuts of the chicken mostly used in creating chicken stock. Due to this mistake and new found use it is now a staple for Super Bowl parties. Some events have even been created around the wing itself!
So, here is a wing recipe using your favorite PFS
PFS Wings – Use either Original, Spicy, or Dirty South
2 pounds chicken wings
1-2 tablespoon olive oil or vegetable oil (you need enough to cover the wings sufficiently, but not drenched.
6 tablespoons of your favorite Pates Seasoning
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Dry wing pieces with paper towels.
Place wings in a large bowl and rub oil evenly into each piece.
Sprinkle half of the season mix onto the chicken wings and rub in. Flip wings and sprinkle remaining half onto wings and rub in.
Place rack over shallow baking pan with sides (line pan with foil for easy cleanup).
Place seasoned wings on rack.
Bake for 20 minutes, flip each wing, then bake for an additional 10 minutes.
Turn oven broiler on low and broil for another 10 minutes.
Remove from oven.
Serve with celery and blue cheese or Ranch if you are into that
NOTE* (These are also excellent on the grill. To cook the wings on the grill preheat a medium hot grill, put wings on grill, turning occasionally, until the chicken is well browned and no longer pink, 25 to 30 minutes.)
